CloudSEK has released its annual takedown statistics for the fiscal year 2022-23, showcasing the organization’s relentless efforts in combating cybercrime and safeguarding organizations from online threats. CloudSEK’s in-house takedown team has successfully removed over 3000 malicious contents, including fake domains, fake apps, and more, hosted publicly over the internet and targeting organizations across various sectors in 2022-23.

The BFSI, retail, and telecom sectors were the most targeted by scammers during this period.The comprehensive takedown efforts by CloudSEK comprised 1,067 requests for fake social media, 641 requests for fake domains, 419 incidents of fake apps, and 234 requests for fake customer support numbers. These proactive measures highlight CloudSEK's commitment to creating a safer online environment by effectively eliminating malicious content within an average of 2.5 days.
