I’m back at CloudSEK after a year. But it feels like I never left.
Product Management Intern
Although my formal education was in Corporate Finance, I had always been a technology enthusiast and was passionate about the emerging fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This deep interest is what brought me to CloudSEK for my first stint as a Business Analyst intern.
Since job title didn’t mean much here I had the opportunity to work with various teams, as well as directly with the CXOs. What stood out to me immediately, in all my interactions, was the general camaraderie, the sheer quality of the team, and the firm belief that we were building a truly world-class cybersecurity product for our clients. Working with the dynamic team at CloudSEK reinforced my decision to shift career tracks and take up a Masters in Analytics from a top global institution.
As luck would have it, I received my acceptance letter from London Business School in March 2019. The Masters experience was challenging yet extremely rewarding. It made me appreciate the depth of my practical experience at CloudSEK even more. Post my Masters, while weighing my career options, I was sure I wanted to pursue a career in the deep tech space, and at a firm that would allow me to take ownership and have an impact, from day one.
Thus, it was no surprise that given the opportunity, I returned to CloudSEK, albeit in a more technical role, as a Product Management Intern. It has only been a couple of weeks, but it feels like I never left the firm. Everything from the team culture to the drive for excellence is still there, but at a much larger scale now. More importantly, I have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, with a team that supports and mentors me every step of the way. We are truly at a point of exponential growth and set to change the way businesses and executives view cybersecurity.
I could not be happier with my decision to join CloudSEK at this pivotal time. And I would urge anyone interested in joining CloudSEK, or this space in general, to reach out for a chat to know more.
