COVID Grant for the Cybersecurity Community
If you or someone you know has lost their cybersecurity job due to the COVID 19 pandemic, CloudSEK is here to support you through these uncertain times.
Global Cybersecurity Community
We at CloudSEK believe that, as a community, we need to support each other to build a sustainable cybersecurity ecosystem. And over the years we have tried to do this by launching Smile While You Learn, our child education program, Earn While You Learn, our undergraduate program that encourages college students to solve real-world cybersecurity problems, and more recently, the XVigil Community, through which we conduct CTFs, promote cybersecurity awareness, and create a space for the community to meet, discuss, and innovate.
As with other sectors, the cybersecurity industry has been affected by the economic slowdown due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic. And in an effort to support our cybersecurity colleagues, who have recently lost their jobs and are trying to get back on their feet, we have set up a grant of INR 500,000 that will be distributed among 20 deserving candidates in exchange for a short assignment.
CloudSEK’s COVID Grant assists people in the cybersecurity sector who have lost their jobs due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Selected candidates will have to complete a short assignment as part of the grant. You should consider applying for this grant or nominate someone who could benefit from it, if you/they meet the eligibility criteria listed below:
- Have worked in a cybersecurity company or in a cybersecurity role, which was the only source of income, for at least 1 year.
- Can show evidence of having lost their jobs due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
The application is open from 26 Nov 2020 till 24 Dec 2020.
- Submit your nomination by filling the application form.
- We will review the applications and shortlist candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.
- There will be a telephonic or video conference with the shortlisted candidates to better understand their skills and their circumstances.
- Based on the 1-on-1 discussion, 20 candidates will be given an appropriate assignment.
*Note: Keep your LinkedIn profiles updated so that we can verify your previous role and organization.
