Innovation is a continuous process of learning, experimenting, failing, and doing it all over again. This is especially true when it comes to cybersecurity, where we encounter new threats, attack-vectors, and cybercriminals every day. This CTF is your opportunity to tackle a real-life cybersecurity challenge by learning and experimenting.
Good luck with the challenge!

BeVigil is one of our first efforts to make quality security tooling accessible to everyone and brings along a number of interesting use cases. While we keep adding new features and building new platforms for the security community, we want to hear more from you: all suggestions and feedback are welcome. The CTF challenge below draws inspiration from a few of the many real-world incidents BeVigil has helped uncover and fix.
Hope you have fun!

Hello Security Ninja,
The hardworking team at ShadowDating corp started out to build the one dating app which gives its users amazing matches. After a year of R&D, the team released their app : `com.shadowd` powered by their cutting edge proprietary algorithm. The team was happy looking at the user responses for a month until the user base started migrating to another app with a very similar look, feel, and workings. The team suspects an attacker has breached the codebase and this new competitor in town is nothing but a clone of their original app built from the stolen code base.
The ShadowDating dev team while working on the app, leveraged the BeVigil platform to quickly safeguard the app against hardcoded credentials, vulnerabilities etc. The goal is to investigate the potential codebase breach and discover the flag which can be submitted for rewards.
Get hacking! May the force be with you
The participants who complete the challenge will get a chance to get an Apple iPad.
